Your quality of life is essential, but law school ​often makes managing school and everything ​else we have going on difficult! Our activities ​should be based on our general wellness, mental ​health, and preparing for conquering every ​week.

Your voice is important. You want someone who ​will hear you and advocate on your behalf and ​build relationships with the people who make ​decisions. Our leadership should be responsive ​and hear our concerns. I will be that voice.

You are seeking results. Your representative ​should have historic experience in leading ​organizations. Our representation matters and ​must have demonstrated experience in ​representing others and communicating.

Hannah Carty is a food policy professional and researcher ​interested in the structural inequities of the food system ​through examination of the intersections of colonialism, race, ​health, and equity on the potential for food sovereignty and ​agricultural sustainability, especially in small island developing ​states.

Hannah has spent her career advocating for social change across ​the cannabis, food, and hospitality industries. She was the first ​Virgin Islands Executive Director of Cannabis Regulations and a ​Deputy Commissioner at the Virgin Islands Department of ​Agriculture. She plans to continue her advocacy and policy work ​in her pursuit of her JD at Roger Williams University.

Hannah was born and raised on the island of St. Thomas, US ​Virgin Islands. She received a Master’s degree from New York ​University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of New ​Haven. She is a part-time student at RWU Law and resides in ​Connecticut with her husband, two dogs, and two cats.
